Christmas in Paris !

In 2011 I was lucky enough to spend my holiday season in Europe, before flying out to spend New Years in Boracay ☺ I flew to Geneva 1st but it was Paris that really blew me away … It truly is the city of romance and even thou I only spent a few days in Paris it simply wasn’t enough but, i did get to see and do quite a lot ☺ I love the culture, the history, the cafes, especially their Christmas markets!
Today Paris it is one of the world’s leading business and cultural centers, and its influence in politics, education, entertainment, media, science, fashion and the arts all contribute to its status as one of the world’s major cities. And it is considered as one of the world’s leading tourist destinations. 👌

On my 1st night I got see the Moulin Rouge, this is best known as the spiritual birthplace of the modern form of the can-can dance. Originally introduced as a seductive dance by the courtesans who operated from the site, the can-can dance revue evolved into a form of entertainment of its own and led to the introduction of cabarets across Europe. Today, Moulin Rouge is a tourist attraction, offering musical dance entertainment for visitors from around the world. The show was amazing and is definitely worth to watch if you ever go to Paris. As I recall there a segment where one of the dancers swam in a pool full of snakes and did some acrobats with them !!! yikes ! Too bad they do not allow you to take photos inside. 😔

The next day was all the tourist stuff ! lots of walking but it was worth it. I got to tour the Arc de Triomphe, saw the Eiffel Tower, had hot wine at the Christmas markets next to the ice skating rink, went shopping at one of the most beautiful malls I have ever seen the galleries Lafayette
During the holidays the Christmas tree and the structure of the place is simply breath taking !
One thing I love about Paris is how they have cafes everywhere where you can just sit back relax have a nice glass of wine. My trip was such a magical experience i can’t wait to go back and spend more time in the city of love ! The only nuisance I would have to say about Paris would be the rude taxi drivers … Apart from that I can’t complain ☺
